December Happenings!

December holds many activities.....

The children will be learning about Jesus' birth the entire month of December.  We'll also be celebrating Jesus' birthday with a classroom play put on just before we leave for the Christmas break.

But before that big event, we will be making special Christmas T-Shirts.  Anyone who is background checked would be so welcome to come in and help!

Awesome Thanksgiving Celebrations!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration in each class.  We shared muffins and apples with our parents and siblings.  Then we sang wonderful Thanksgiving songs and even did one in sign language.  It was a great day to say thank you to God for all He has given us.

Grandparent Day was a Big Success

Our grandparents were awesome in our classrooms!  Thank you grandparents for coming to visit our classroom.  I enjoyed visiting with each one of you.  Coming soon.......photos of our special grandparent day!

Ideas for websites that can help your child....

I had a wonderful opportunity to go to our church's district teacher's conference.

I was able to learn of a few new websites that you can help your child navigate.  Below are some websites I've had a chance to try.  Take some time to check them out before you try them with your child.  That will give you an idea what they offer and what you want your child to try.

www.abcya.com  -  this website is free and it has tons of activities you can use on computers or tablets. 

www.jcplayzone.com  - this website is free and it is faith based.  There is also a parent section called jcparentzone.com

www.starfall.com  - this is a great website for 3, 4 & 5 year olds to interact on the computer and learn as they go.

Chapel Begins...

Teacher's Conference.................NO SCHOOL:     October 25 & 26 

Harvest Party:  Saturday, Oct. 27 @ 6:30 p.m.  ....Admission....1 Bag of Candy per Family

Preschool Worship and Open House, September 23rd at 4 p.m.

Be sure to save the date, Sunday, September 23rd at 4 p.m. for a special preschool Worship and Open House here at Bethlehem. 

We'll have the children share a few songs and we'll bless the children and teachers for this special service.  Then, our school and church will be open for you to visit.  We'll be offering hot dogs and drinks for everyone!

First Week of School

Be sure to bring a picture of your child to school this week.

We'll be learning about how Jesus invited the children to come to Him.  See you there!
